There would be a fortunate section of people who would not be bothered by the questions asked above. We envy them. This platform though is for the people who are bothered.

Aim; it is attempted to bring everyone in India and abroad on a platform where such fundamental questions are discussed and debated so that we collectively can come up with a plan and together we become the answer to the last question. A democratic debate is the means towards an inspiration of collective action to actualize Secured, Healthy and Prosperous India and Indians.

Why Uniteindia.net? The word “Unite” has been chosen to appeal to all to come under one umbrella for a common cause that is India and Indians. Indians are all those to whom India matters.
Any one who has been involved directly or discretely, morally or physically in perpetuating direct or indirect violence against anyone anywhere is not an Indian in true sense, except in case where safety of one self or the dependents were in a situation to be compromised. Direct violence means raising arms to kill and indirect violence would mean insult and injustice caused to a fellow human being.
Citizens being part of the state machinery’s arm of violence such as military and police are being spared especially if they have had to resort to violence to save the life and property of fellow beings.
For an Indian it is imperative to respect and protect life and property. Nothing can justify harm to life of a fellow human being and destruction of property.
If any one is willing to elaborate in favor or against the postulates mentioned above can do so by adding. The faculty to think differentiates human beings from the rest of the species.

Background; we think we deserve more than what we get as Indians. We are of the point of view that if the things are left the way they are then we will never get what we deserve. We have only two options; 1, ride the pessimism that nothing could be done and be doomed or 2, take a stand, collaborate and turn the situation from pessimism to an optimistic reality. Here is a platform to initiate a beginning towards realization of a favorable reality which could be actualized in our life time.

The home page is made the way it is to save people time by not going any further should they not be bothered. Those who care are urged to express and help make a consensus since we do not intend to lament and forget as sterilized intellectuals would do after their swigs of whiskey in their cozy evenings.

There are a certain conditions which we expect our participants to adhere to such as Constitution of India, Democracy, abide by the law of land, whichever land they reside in and detest any polarization which is a threat to the unity of India or or any country they are living in or violence propagated or done in any fashion induced by anything such as religion, language, region, community etc.

We do not want to waste time in discussing ‘how to be a hindu, muslim or x y rashtra or what shall be our national language etc. We are of the faith that every section is a minority in India and only one in majority is a citizen. We will though not refrain from logically discussing religion, language etc and we will comment upon them as per their merit. In our approach while dealing with such sociological aspects we will be equidistant from each to the tune of indifference and yet we will engage with them in clinically analyzing them from very close quarters.

To discuss and debate about India, we think, it is imperative to know briefly about the journey of Indian Civilization and thus the second page ‘An Idea of India’ briefly does that. You are invited to correct, discredit, add and enrich the discourse on India since it is impossible to briefly discuss the elaborate journey of one of the oldest and culturally richest civilizations in the world but then it is worth the effort. Thoughts and ideas pouring into this section will only enlighten us more.
The aim of the section ‘An Idea of India’ is to collectively agree upon the traits that could and should decide the identity of India and Indians.

Opinion Builders; this section is aimed at being a collection of opinion the common masses are making by reading an author or by watching a film. Books and films are two very powerful sources of building and propagating opinion. You are free and invited to contribute in this section by the point of view you built for yourself by reading a book and or by watching a film. A point of view of or about India is sought for though nothing is restricted on any basis.

Our Present; The electronic and print media too builds and impacts opinions thus this section is to vent out one’s anger and frustration by a news which is unwarranted for or appreciate an event which is need of the hour. This will be the section in future to display the actions we would initiate in the practical world after having decided on something. Who said we cannot make news?

Governance in post Independent India; Here it is attempted to present a critical analysis of Policies enacted and implemented post Independance in India and once we are done with the analysis we would embark upon to formulate what policies ought to be enacted if a new India is to be established.
